Pacific Accessory Corporation (PAC) said it has been awarded a patent for a steering wheel control for multiple devices.
The interface is capable of receiving signals from “steering wheel controls, backseat controls and the like, then transmitting corresponding signals to an aftermarket in-vehicle electronic device or devices,” said PAC, an Aamp of America brand.
The technology may be used in motorcycles as well as automobiles.
The patent is no. 8,184,825, entitled “Vehicle Remote Control Interface for Controlling Multiple Electronic Devices.” This is the second patent issued to PAC in the last 12-months, and further expands the company’s portfolio of steering wheel interface technology.
