GROM Audio, producer of quality digital converters for in-vehicle information and entertainment, announced the release of the GROM-MST3-BMWO media interface. This specific version of the GROM-MST3 line is designed to integrate with select BMW models (E90, E91, E92, E93, Е60, Е61, Е62) from 2004-2010, equipped optical fiber audio networks. The system will work with iDrive and non-iDrive BMW stereos.

The GROM-MST3 ($399)  is the simple way to integrate an Android phone, iPod, iPhone, or other device utilizing USB, Bluetooth, or audio line out, into a factory audio system. Adapters (iPod/iPhone, AUX in; sold separately) plug into the unit’s two mini-DIN ports and are required to connect most devices (the USB port does not support a standard iPod cable). The system comes with a 2GB USB flash drive that plugs directly into the GROM-MST3 module. Users can also insert their own USB storage media and play music through the factory system.

Purchase the separate Bluetooth USB dongle to enable playback from, and control of, a Bluetooth-enabled portable device.

In addition the system provides full control, audio and charging for Android phone. Connecting his Android phone via standard USB cable, the user is able to control the music via car stereo or steering wheel buttons, browse the playlists and folders, and see the text on the stereo screen.
