Rydeen Ships Next-Gen Mirror in June

Rydeen will ship in June the next generation of its GPS touchscreen mirror with faster navigation and better Bluetooth.

Rydeen MN312SThe mirror delivers an OnStar-like connection to live operators but it also gives you built-in GPS if you don’t want to deal with an operator or service fees.  It also has a rear camera view.

The model MN312S adds a high sensitivity microphone built into the mirror frame.  There are now 2 options for voice playback—either a speaker built into the mirror or the car’s audio system.

The mirror moves up to a direct aux in connection instead of an FM modulator.  And it now has streaming audio over Bluetooth.

The unit is also built at a new factory and is based on a new platform that makes it easier for Rydeen to update and add to its aftermarket mirror lineup, said the company.

Users can press a button to connect to live operators at the Guidepoint call center in Ft. Worth, TX.  They can ask for directions, get emergency help, and concierge service such ordering flowers.  They also get stolen vehicle recovery service.

Suggested retail price is $449.
