Samsung Electronics Co. announced it is collaborating with Toyota to create the Samsung Car Mode Application—an in-car solution that seamlessly connects Samsung smartphones to Toyota radios.
It will allow smoother integration for Internet services, multimedia and navigation. And it will use “state of the art” voice command control and tap into location based services, said Samsung at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week, during the show that focuses on phones and mobile computers.
The app should be available during Q2 this year.
Just as it did at CES, the car industry seems to be making its presence known at Mobile World Congress. Ford debuted at the show a European version of Sync. See also “HTC Phones to Create “New Car Experience.”
