Aha by Harman—the app radio service for cars—will be available on 2013 model vehicles from Honda and Subaru—the first car makers to embrace the app service.

At the Consumer Electronics Show, Aha also announced it has added new apps to its service including MOG and Rhapsody on-demand music, SHOUTcast Radio, CBS Radio stations and Slacker.   Aha also delivers Facebook and Twitter newsfeeds, traffic reports, and audiobooks.

The service basically serves ups apps from the cloud in a format that is easy to operate while you are driving a car. For audiobooks, you can hit a preset button and every time you return to that radio preset, it continues reading aloud the audiobook at the place where you left off.

Last year, Pioneer was the first aftermarket supplier to offer Aha in its car radios.  Kenwood will deliver the service this spring in a top of the line DNX9990HD radio.

Aha is also working with 3 other car makers, with formal announcements expected this spring and summer.

The service is also now available for users of Android phones in addition to iPhones.
