Morel said it will announce its largest car speaker lineup to date at the Consumer Electronics Show next week.

The line is capped by the ultra high end SUPREMO 602 2-way component system, which won a 2012 Innovation Award.  The top of the line speaker carries a suggested retail price of $5,000.

Morel’s new speakers include technology derived from its home audio line.

On the lower end of the price spectrum, Morel is making its subwoofer’s more affordable with a new PRIMO line that ranges from a suggested $199 to $279 with shipping expected in Q1.

Nir Paz, Director of Sales & Marketing said, “Morel has significantly expanded its product offering in the budget speaker category in recent years, and the PRIMO subwoofer series was the missing piece in the puzzle. The PRIMO will allow those who love music to complement their system with a powerful and musical subwoofer solution that won’t break one’s budget.”

The PRIMO subs offer high power handling and low frequency extension. “A significant design goal was to ensure compatibility with low cost and low power amplifiers while still delivering a dynamic and musical bass impact,” said Paz.
