Mercedes-Benz offered a preview of the new technology it will display at the Consumer Electronics Show next week including an F125! Research Vehicle and a cloud-based infotainment system that will appear first on a 2013 SL, to be followed in other cars as standard equipment.
Also, Daimler Chairman and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, Dr. Dieter Zetsche will give a keynote speech on the true meaning of the “connected vehicle,” defining what it is, and what it is not. He will present at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, at the Las Vegas Hilton Theater.
Mercedes’ cloud infotainment system uses apps for traffic and navigation, Internet browsing, and automatic crash notification. It also provides concierge services.
The new F125! Research Vehicle “anticipates future trends and paves the way for innovative large and luxurious automobiles.” The hydrogen-based vehicle also delivers emission-free driving with a range of 621 miles.
