Metra Electronics is introducing its first full line of back up cameras and sensors.
Shipping in February/March, the mid-priced models fall under the brand “Third Eye.” They include about 4 cameras and 3 back up sensors plus accessories.
Among the Third Eye cameras is a license plate model and a night vision model. Each camera has a 170 degree viewing angle and parking assist lines that are defeatable. The units are also waterproof.
Other cameras include a bullet model and a small square version.
Parking sensors cover up to 2.5 feet in front of the car and up to 5 feet in the rear.
For cars without a factory video screen, Third Eye offers a 3.5 inch color video screen with 3M tape for mounting and two video inputs. Also offered is a wireless video transmitter running on 2.4GHz to simplify installation.
Prices will be announced.
