SiriusXM announced a new Edge Dock and Play Radio that works with a vehicle kit to provide access to new extra SiriusXM channels that went live Monday.
At $139.99, the SiriusXM 2.0 radio comes with a PowerConnect car kit. It’s already shown on sale at Bestbuy.com.
Edge lets customers pause, rewind and replay live satellite radio programming and comes with a large color graphic display for artist, song and channel information.
“We are excited to begin the SiriusXM 2.0 rollout with the new Edge radio,” said Jim Meyer, President, Operations and Sales, SiriusXM. “Edge will be available at 2,500 retail locations by the holiday shopping season. Additional radios and features in upcoming phases of 2.0 will bring even more content and capabilities to our satellite and internet platforms, all providing exciting complements to our core radio services for subscribers.”
Edge also lets you:
• Browse other channels while listening to the current one.
• Store up to 10 favorite channels for one-touch access.
• Lock and unlock channels with mature content using easy-to-use parental control.
• One-Touch Jump to traffic and weather conditions to the most congested cities, or back to the previous channel.
New “XTRA” SiriusXM 2.0 stations include a party mix channel, many Latino channels, live classic rock performances, and a yoga music channel. You can see the new channels here.
