There have been numerous reports in the past few months citing either late September, or early October as the date for the much anticipated iPhone 5.

Apple CEO Tim Cook is expected to present the new phone, said AllThingsD.  And the phone may be joined by revised versions of the current iPhone 4, according to numerous reports.

A white version of the iPod touch will also be unveiled, says MacRumors.

Analyst Mark Moskowitz at JP Morgan said this week he expects to see an “iPhone 4 Plus” bearing “some improvements” over the current model. The new iPhone 5 is expected to be thinner and lighter than the iPhone 4 and it is widely expected to become available through Sprint (as well as AT&T and Verizon).
