GM Exec to Keynote at KnowledgeFest

OnStar VP of planning and business development Nick Pudar will be a keynote speaker at KnowledgeFest next month, where he will discuss the roll out of the new OnStar retail mirror.

Nick Pudar of OnStar to address KnowledgeFestAlso, Robert Acker, general manager for Aha Radio, and Jim Ackerman, a sales and marketing coach who wrote the book “How To Market Your Crap When the Economy Is In The Toilet,” will also speak during KnowledgeFest to be held August 28-30 at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Conference Center near Dallas.

OnStar’s Pudar will also discuss “ongoing opportunities within the mobile electronics retail space,” said the Mobile Electronics Retailers Association (MERA), which sponsors KnowledgeFest.

Pudar started with General Motors in 1981 and has worked on numerous projects including stamping plant modernization, and cross-plant throughput improvement.  A recent position was director of global planning and strategic initiatives, to which he was appointed in 2005, before assuming his current role a year later.

Ackerman teaches 12 marketing principles designed to stimulate sales for small businesses. He will discuss these principles in his keynote address.

Acker is VP and GM of Aha Radio (now owned by Harman International)   Aha Radio  takes Facebook, Twitter, Yelp! and real time traffic and converts them to a voice and video interface suited for a car radio.  It’s already offered by Pioneer. Acker has also held executive positions at XM Satellite Radio and RealNetworks as well as Dash Navigaiton.  –Lynn Shannon
