MB Quart (Maxxsonics) said it is part of a Best Buy test market of marine audio products currently in 30 Florida stores.
The test market began last fall and is expected to continue until this fall, when Best Buy may decide to roll out marine products including MB Quart speakers to additional stores located near lakes and coastal areas.
Currently the marine products are also offered online at bestbuy.com.
Maxxsonics, which also produces the Hifonics car audio brand, said it expects to release a new line called Gladiator under Hifonics in 2012. No details were available.
