Despite the scary predictions of $5 and $6/gal. gas by some pundits, it looks like gas prices are dropping and some analysts say prices will fall by 50 cents during the summer.
After an 8 week climb, gas prices are now at a national average of $3.90/gal., said AAA Thursday. That’s down from $4.03. Pundits say the average will be closer to $3.50 at some point this summer.
A 50 cent drop equals a savings of about $300 over the course of the year for a consumer. Let’s hope that prices stay down for a while.

It might come down, but if a hurricane comes into the Gulf $5.00/$6.00 will be a reality.
