Starting May 4, the Sirius satellite radio channels and XM channels will more closely resemble each other, both in programming and in actual channel numbers.
An example is that “Willie’s Place” will merge with “The Roadhouse” to become “Willie’s Roadhouse on channel 56 on both services.
Pop and rock will fill the low channel numbers and sports and talk will begin at channel 84. Howard Stern remains on Howard 100 and Howard 101.
Some channels will be moved from Sirius or XM to the online service and some new channels will be added to the services.
Additionally, Sirius will now offer more local traffic coverage, extending its service to additional cities.
