A new Edmunds feature on car AV tells consumers how to buy a car stereo.
In additional to the usual tips, it encourages customers to check out the install bays at a retailer and see if they are clean and spacious. 🙂
Here are some other tips mentioned:
- “Always ask retailers if they’re an authorized dealer for the brands they carry and how any product warranty issues are handled.”
- Find out if the installers are MECP certified
- Ask to hear a demo in a demo car if available, not just on the sound boards
