Vibe launches entry car speaker lineSpeakers in the new FLI Underground line can run less than half the price of the higher end Vibe line.

Metra’s Todd Anderson said the new brand is designed to encourage more people to try the line and then step up.

The Undergound includes a 6,5-inch coax at $24.99 with 50 watts maximum power. An FU 10 (yes, that is the correct model no.) goes for $50. It’s a 10-inch woofer rated at 250 watts RMS with a frequency response of 30Hz to 1700Hz and 85dB sensitivity. The step up 12 inch FU 12 sells for $60.

  1. Very inexpensive (“cheap”) speakers are not going to help our industry. It’s another tool to help drive retailers out of business. And the model number of FU is certainly a blemish to our industry as well. In fact, it’s insulting to the hard work that so many of us have put into 12Volt for so many years. It’s only my opinion, but that is what “Speak Your Mind” is for.
