For an iPad owner, an in-car overhead monitor might be redundant, so Magadyne is showing what may be the first overhead in-car dock that lets you snap in your iPad.
Making its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show, the dock secures the iPad so you can watch it, and it lets you listen to audio from the iPad through the car’s sound system or headphones.
The dock has mounting brackets and a universal shroud and it gives you a USB port for charging the iPad and an FM transmitter for audio. You also get an IR output for headphones. The target suggested retail price point is $299.95.
Chris Duval, Magnadyne’s aftermarket national sales manager said, “We designed the overhead dock so consumers can quickly and easily dock their iPad in a secure overhead style housing more suitable for in vehicle rear seat entertainment.”
Magnadyne will also show its remote start and security systems, back up cameras and Linear series audio products in the South Hall.
