Coby Ships 7″ Tablet

We can’t call it an iPad killer, but a new Coby 7-inch WiFi tablet is available now for retailers.

The Coby Kyros MID7015 runs Android 2.1 at suggested retail price of $250. It has a HDMI output that supports 1080p and 720p.

Coby preloads the tablet with more than a dozen apps so you can watch YouTube, movies and download eBooks. You also get web browsing, email, a music player and other basics. And you can install other Android apps via AppsLib.

The Kyros tablet uses an 800MHz processor and 256MB of RAM. It has 4GB of internal flash and a micro SD card slot to boost capacity to 16GB plus a USB port. The screen has a resolution of 800×480.
