Last year heading into the Consumer Electronics Show, rumors of Apple’s forthcoming iPad dominated the show.
Now rumors on an iPad 2 are gathering steam.
The Chinese-language Economic Daily News is reporting the iPad 2 will ship early next year offering dual cameras, video chat, a new display and a USB port.
The same newspaper in August reported that iPad 2 would have a 7-inch screen.
The report said, “iPad 2 may adopt smaller size panels featuring thinner glass,” according to DigiTimes. iPad 2 will also use Apple’s Retina display and 3-axis gyroscopes for gaming.
Earlier this month analyst Brian Blair of Wedge Partners said Apple will soon offer a new sleeker worldwide version of the iPad using a Qualcomm chip for both GSM and CDMA networks, said AllThingsD.
