The O’Car is a new $299 car stereo deck that lets you snap an iPhone to the front of the unit and get Internet radio, navigation, video and apps from the phone through your car audio system.

Supplied by the new Oxygen Audio of North America, it is the first car stereo head unit to fully integrate with the iPhone, says the company.

Once the iPhone is snapped in place, the user presses a button and then the iPhone controls the radio. The O’Car also converts the iPhone into a handsfree kit as Bluetooth and a microphone are included.

The deck also includes an AM/FM/RDS radio, 4 by 55 watt amp and subwoofer control. The snap in mount can tilt the iPhone towards you and switch to landscape and portrait modes.

The O’Car will ship in the first quarter 2011. It won a 2011 CES Innovations award this month, as well as a CEA i-Stage award in September.

A second version with built in USB port and SD card should follow, said Oxygen, which is an established brand in France. It recently set up a NY office and is in the process of creating a network of reps and distributors.
