Rydeen announced new rear view mirrors with GPS that now offer simpler installation and automatic dimming.
The new replacement mirrors are 10 inches wide with a built-in touch screen navigation system with 2D or 3D maps, spoken street names, and lane assist. They have Bluetooth for hands free calling and can work with a rear view camera to automatically switch on when the car goes in reverse.
An improvement over Rydeen’s 2010 model, the new mirrors use smaller, simpler connector wires: one with a mini-DIN connector and an extension cable ending in power and RCA inputs..
The M302S is shipping now at $400 with a 1-year warranty, $450 with a 3 year warranty. A step up version adds auto-dimming and will ship December 1 at $500 with a 1-year warranty or $549 with a 3-year warranty.
