A lucky installer new to the business may receive a scholarship to an certified installer school.
At KnowledgeFest, show sponsor MERA (Mobile Electronics Retailers Assoc.) will take a portion of the register proceeds to pay for the scholarship. Installers may apply during the show and over the following 30 days.
“The idea is to take someone new to the industry that could benefit from going to one of the MECP schools,” said MERA executive director Chris Cook.
The scholarship will be awarded in memory of Bill Burton who wrote for Car Audio & Electronics magazine as well as other industry publications.
