A 7-inch iPad 2 is already on the assembly line and may be here by Christmas or in early 2011, according to Taiwanese media.
The Economic Daily News financial newspaper named 3 companies that are making parts for the 7-inch iPad 2. Another Taiwanese journal, Digitimes, said that factories were already starting to assemble parts for a 7-inch iPad.
One of the world’s largest contract manufacturers for laptops, Compal Electronics in Taiwan, will assemble the new iPad while Chimei Innolux will supply the 7-inch LCD screens, said the Economic Daily.
