NAV-TV said Friday, its Tooki Bluetooth and OPI iPod car kit models for the iPod/iPhone can now work with the iPhone 4 with an upgrade or new adapter.
The Tooki hands free kit for Audi, Maserati, Mercedes Benz and Porsche vehicles ($750) uses a Parrot Bluetooth chip set. To work with the iPhone 4 and iOS 4 phones, all Tooki modules must be upgraded to Parrot software version 3.12 and have current NAV-TV Tooki software. See http://www.navtv.com/page/19/downloads.html for software downloads.
OPI M.O.S.T fiber optic iPod integration modules for Audi, Mercedes Benz and Porsche ($400 to $680), that are running current software, will not require an update. But to charge the iPod/iPhone an additional $40 charging adapter is required at www.nav-tv.com.
NAV-TV cautioned that consumers should perform a hard reset on their iPhone, after updating to the new iOS 4 before the first use of the device (as many consumers learned after reporting problems).
