Samsung will not be releasing its E6 $299 WiFi eReader this spring as planned and may be looking at offering a color eReader instead.
“Based on current market dynamics, Samsung is revisiting its approach to the eReader market in the US at this time,” said a spokeswoman noting, “We remain committed to the mobile entertainment market and expect to have new announcements soon.”
An eReader with a color screen, 3G service and a better battery may be offered by Samsung instead, as the electronics giant’s first entry into the already crowded eReader space, reports Businessweek, siting a company employee.
