The L5 add-on that turns an iPhone/iPod touch into a remote control for home theater products and appliances is now shipping at $50. The small adaptor plugs into iPhone/iPod touch to give it IR control over TVs, cable boxes, DVD players, ceiling fans, air conditioners and the like. It combines with a free app on iTunes that lets you drag and drop buttons on the screen to create your own IR remote control system (see video below).
