RDV Automotive Technology announced it is shipping its first vehicle specific pre-amplifiers. These enable amplifier replacement for BMW and Mercedes vehicles.
The RDV AR1 line will also include pre-amps in the near future for VW, Land Rover/Range Rover, GM, Lexus, Volvo and others, as well as additional interfaces for Mercedes-Benz. Some of these should be available in about a month, said Rich De Sclafani, Founder of RDV.
“With the two BMW interfaces we will cover 20 years worth of BMW vehicles with the Harman Kardon system,” De Sclafani said. “There are many BMW’s that suffer from OEM amplifier failure and this is a great way to upgrade the amp while having to replace it. We have great success with the ones that have been in the field for a long time and are working perfectly.”
The new pre-amps now shipping are the RDV AR1-BMW-E, AR1-BMW-M25 and the AR1-MB-M150 for Mercedes vehicles.
“These interfaces effectively serve as modern replacements for the factory amplifier, offering significant improvements in sound quality and customization without compromising the original functionality of the vehicles audio system,” said RDV.
