Amazon Treasure Trucks, which are filled with a daily deal, are now spreading beyond Seattle to up to two dozen cities in the US.
The trucks will travel the cities and park in certain locations offering a deal of the day that consumers can buy and then pick up on the truck.
So far the Treasure Trucks in Seattle offer daily deals on trendy products like the GoPro or a new Harry Potter book.
Amazon users text “TRUCK” to 24193 to buy the daily deal.
Amazon announced it will be rolling the trucks to other cities, but has not yet named them, although a tweet from the Treasure Truck (see below) hints the next city could be Ashburn, VA and TechCrunch reported the rollout might extend to two dozen cities.
Amazon says the truck has been a hit in Seattle, helping to create demand for spur of the moment purchases.
The Treasure Truck is seen as yet another way for Amazon to make shopping convenient.
Amazon filed a patent on the truck in 2015, which was approved this January.
