Kenwood is now shipping one of the first car radios to display video from a DVR as well as provide driver safety warnings directly from the radio.
The new DMX7704S is also Kenwood’s first mechless (CDless) CarPlay and Android Auto deck. It is shipping at a street price of $550.
At the end of the month, Kenwood will also ship the DRV-N520 Drive Recorder that may be used with the new DMX7704S to display the DVR images and warnings directly on the car radio screen. Users can see collision warnings on the screen, alerting the driver when he’s approaching the car ahead too fast.
The DMX7704S can also control the DRV-520 directly from the radio.
