AVIDWORX Productions is pleased to announce the appointment of 12-volt and mobile electronics industry veteran Sergio De Oliveira as our new Director of Business Development.
De Oliveira, a former top executive at AAMP Global, will oversee AVIDWORX’s growing rep network and vendor partnerships, ensuring that retailers receive the best possible service.
“Marcel’s unwavering commitment to help retailers grow was the sole reason why I wanted to join the team,” said De Oliveira. “I am as passionate today about this industry as I was back in my first years with AAMP, and with AVIDWORX’s business solution playbook… I’m eager to get started.”
AVIDWORX president Marcel Newell was excited to bring De Oliveira onboard as the company prepares to relaunch BUSINESSWORX marketing and management software, as well as to offer retailers owners in-depth management training through a new COACHWORX leadership program.
“Every day we get to help more retailers provide customers with a better retail experience, and boost revenues through more engaging and interactive showrooms,” said Newell. “Bringing Sergio on board will help AVIDWORX to build on our current momentum and work with even more retailers. There is still so much untapped potential for everyone in this industry.”
Sergio De Oliveira spent more than 25 years with Florida’s AAMP Global, where he rose to the position of Senior Vice President of Global Sales. In that role he helped the company build an automotive electronics and mobile device distribution network through Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America.
After leaving AAMP Global, De Oliveira started a leadership and business development consulting firm, coaching small and mid-size organizations in the fields of sales, business development and customer service. He has helped businesses in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States.
De Oliveira was coached in Leadership Effectiveness Training by Gordon Training International. He is a member of the Mobile Electronics Association (MEA), and currently serves on the board of the Brazil-Florida Business Council as an executive committee member. A Brazilian-American, De Oliveira is fluent in Portuguese and English.
