In addition to its first DSP processor, the H8, Hertz is also introducing a new Mille Pro speaker system and new subwoofers.
Sister company Audison also announced a new Sound Pack system for the Volkswagen MK7 Golf/GTI vehicles, as well as new speakers, subwoofers and sub enclosures.
Under Hertz is the MPK 1650.3 component system with a 28mm (MP 28.3) Tetolon dome tweeter and a 6.5 in (MP 165P.3) driver with a 3 ohm impedance to exploit the amplifier’s power.
It includes a rear acoustic chamber for a resonance frequency of only 900 Hz. Sensitivity is 93.5 dB and power handling is 125 watts (250 w).
It is available in September at a suggested retail price of $730.
New redesigned Mille Pro subwoofers use a V-cone with a high purity IIR-butyl rubber surround. The voice coil measures 2.5 inches, and the sub has 10 vents behind the voice coil (when used with the supplied rubber disk) to allow the sub to mounted in a low profile enclosure.
The Mille Pro subwoofers will be available in the September to December time frame in 10- and 12-inch sizes and 2 configurations:
– MP 250 D2 = (10in) Dual 2ohm at a suggested retail price of $500
– MP 250 D4 = (10in) Dual 4ohm
– MP 300 D2 = (12in) Dual 2ohm
– MP 300 D4 = (12in) Dual 4ohm
Under Audison is the new Sound Pack, vehicle-specific system for Volkswagen MK7 Golf/GTI cars. The plug an play system uses the factory front tweeter and rear speakers as well as Audison front woofers, a subwoofer with a custom enclosure and an Audison Prima AP 8.9 bit DSP/amplifier. The custom sub enclosure is a 4 ohm, 300 watt continuous (900w peak) system that tucks away in the rear cargo area out of sight. The enclosure can be purchased separately to be used with other Audison amplifiers.
The new Sound Pack is shipping now at $2,250.

– APS 8D = (8in) dual 4ohm, 250w (500w), optimal in a sealed enclosure $250

Sub enclosures include:
– APBX 8R = (8in) single 4ohm, 250w (500w). Reflex enclosure that works with the AP 4.9bit/4D/8.9bit amplifiers using 2 channels bridged at $370 suggested retail price.
– APBX 8D = (8in) dual 4ohm, 250w (500w). Works with AP 8.9bit (channels 5/6 & 7/8 bridged), AP 5.9bit (sub channel output) or AP 4.9bit/4D (2 channels bridged) $370
– APBX 10D = (10in) dual 4ohm, 400w (800w). Works with AP 1D (sub channel output) or AP 4.9bit/4D (2 channels bridged) $480
