Massive Audio unveiled at CES its new Nano Edge line, a replacement for its Nano Block line of mini amplifiers.

The new line allows installers to plug a capacitor into each amplifier. The small footprint line uses full range Class D technology with auto turn on and X10 switching. The amps are more stable and they produce the same power at 2 and 4 ohms, said the company.

Three mono models include the E2, rated at 800 watts RMS by 1 @ 1 ohm. It’s joined by a 1400 watt version (E3) and a 2000 watt version (E4).

A two channel EX2 is rated at 120 watts RMS by 2 @ 4 ohms at a street price of $254. It’s joined by four other multi-channel models, capped by the EX5 rated at 800 watts RMS by 1 @ 1 ohm + 240 watts x 4 @ 2 ohms.

A four-channel EX44 (100 watts RMS by 2 @ 4 ohms – 200 watts by 4 @ 2 ohms) has a street price of $327. Shipping is expected at the end of the quarter.
