MESA, the Mobile Electronics Specialists of America buying/marketing group raised over $100,000 for industry veteran Dean Hutto, who worked for Kenwood for almost 20 years and then went on to SiriusXM in 2005.
This year, Hutto was diagnosed with a lung disorder that requires a lung transplant, and was fortunate to receive the call to come in for the transplant while he was actually attending the MESA Summit in Denver this month, as he happens to live in Denver.
The group raised the whopping sum exceeding $100K in three hours as industry members took a “dunk tank” challenge to help the cause. Those who took the challenge include:

Hutto’s lung transplant was successful. The MESA team including Ryan Gunter and Drew Geisheimer is shown above presenting Hutto with the donations.
