Morel announced a new high end Elate 3-way component speaker set for the car.
The speakers include 3- inch external voice coils using Hexatach technology that reduce air gaps in the coil windings to increase efficiency.
The components are designed to produce precision, musicality and high power capability so users both hear and feel the music.
Woofers use Morel’s C.A.R (“Controlled Acoustic Resistance”) filter that controls airflow within the driver, improving power handling by 30% even when the speaker is installed in a free-air environment (such as a door), improving bass dynamics. They work with a dual magnet motor / Hybrid magnet motor (in the 603 model), and one-piece DPC cone, for accurate music reproduction.
Available in three sizes, the Elate 503 uses a 5¼” driver; the 603 a 6½”; and the 903 a 8¾”. Power handling is 160, 180 and 200 watts RMS, respectively.
