Italian sports car maker Maserati and speaker maker Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) announced last week they will develop a new car audio system to be available in Maserati cars exclusively starting in 2013.
The partnership was announced at the Paris Motorshow by Maserati CEO Harald Wester and Bowers & Wilkins Executive VP Evert Huizing.
“If you look at the values the companies have in common, the partnership makes perfect sense,” said Wester. “Both Maserati and Bowers & Wilkins have a proud heritage of traditional craftsmanship and engineering excellence. Both have a real commitment to innovation. And both continue to set benchmarks for performance and design in our industries.”
The branding partnership will be promoted through a series of events around the world as well as a web site and films.
Maserati and Bowers & Wilkins will also produce some limited edition co-branded home audio loudspeakers and headphones.
Bowers & Wilkens also supplies car audio for Jaguar.
