Harman is shipping an all-new line of Infinity Kappa speakers for the first time in several years.

On display at KnowledgeFest this week, the line offers improved installation with shallower speaker depths and all-new tweeters.

The tweeters are smaller so they are easier to place in the car and they have a wider dispersion for better sound regardless of where they are mounted.

The line includes Harman’s PlusOne woofer technology for extra cone area even in standard speaker sizes.

Also, the multi-element speakers include a higher-order crossover than many competing models for a smoother transition between midrange and treble, and the components have been integrated into the basket for easier installation.

Harman claims the speakers sound better than others at much higher prices.  The new Kappa line is priced from $159 to $349.

Kappa 52.11i – 5¼” two-way car audio loudspeaker with a peak power handling of 165W

  1. I own high end home equipment and recently purchased these to put in a boat, and yes I know that they’re not intended for marine use, but they just sounded too good to not buy… Yes I wish I had a really good 50 – 100 watt amp to push them like they’re capable and maybe I can find a crack to stick one in sometime, but for now I’m very pleased with my simple system..
    Sincerely, @Theresa
