Kicker (Stillwater Designs) began shipping last month its latest square subwoofers—the Solo-Baric L3 series.
The square design gives you more cone area and volume, said the company.
Sized from 10- to 15-inches, the speakers use stamped steel baskets and SoloKon cones in an injection-molded design with vented, 360-degree back braces.
They come in 2- or 4-ohm models from $199.95 to $349.95. Peak power handling ranges from 400/800 to 1,000/500 watts.

No matter how hard they try, the square Kickers are still horrible translations of what a sub should be. We don’t put much stock in a sub that can be purchaced in pawn shops.
