While the car audio industry settled into its usual summer lull, Rockford Fosgate spent August proving otherwise. The company issued three major product announcements in less than a month, spanning powersports, marine, and off road integration.

First item, dated August third. Rockford Fosgate expanded its Polaris lineup with three new systems: the RZR Phantom Rear Door Speaker Upgrade, a subwoofer kit built specifically for the 2026 RZR PRO-R and PRO-R Boost, and a Polaris Sportsman Front Rack Audio System. The subwoofer kit centers on a 10 inch, 400 watt subwoofer running off a dedicated channel of a new 1,500 watt, 8 channel amplifier, built for both 2 seat and 4 seat configurations. Second item, dated August fourteenth. Rockford Fosgate introduced the PMX-6BB, a hidden digital media receiver built for marine use. It integrates directly with a boat’s multi function display through NMEA 2000 connectivity, allowing audio control from the helm display itself rather than a separate faceplate. It houses an internal 200 watt, 4 channel amplifier capable of driving up to 8 speakers. It supports dual zone audio control and independent subwoofer tuning. And it includes Bluetooth streaming with A2DP and AVRCP for playback control and track information from a connected phone. Source: PR Newswire.

Third item, dated August twenty sixth. Rockford Fosgate rolled out an all new audio system lineup for the 2027 Can-Am Defender, co-engineered directly with BRP. According to the announcement, the systems feature vehicle specific tuning, built in DSP, and digital A2B connectivity for clean signal transfer. Rockford Fosgate stated this is designed to deliver controlled audio without complicated tuning or setup. Source: PR Newswire.

It’s great to see a company like Rockford Fosgate pushing forward with three releases in August alone, spanning the marine and UTV markets. As the industry heads into SEMA, it will be worth watching what Rockford Fosgate brings to the public next.
