Remote Subwoofer Tuning Service

What if you could map out the acoustic response of a vehicle, identify its loudest resonant frequencies for optimal bass performance, and design a box to maximize output remotely?

Every vehicle has unique interior properties from seat placement, build materials, and reflective surfaces, all affecting bass performance differently. Hunter Martin of ezdbsdesigns.com created his Elite Box Design Service to deal with this exact problem. He remotely measures how sound behaves inside each vehicle to build speaker enclosures that are perfectly tuned to sound their best in that specific vehicle.

Prefabricated subwoofer boxes are tailored to the car model but not necessarily the specific car itself. Custom enclosure designs take in all considerations including personal taste. Martin’s service lies in between those solutions.

The process is straightforward: Martin ships a complete, all-in-one kit containing an amplifier, subwoofer, tablet, and microphone directly to the customer. They plug the unit into a standard 120-volt outlet, power on the tablet, and run a series of tests — with all data saved directly to the device. Once complete, the kit ships back to Martin, who downloads the results and designs an enclosure optimized specifically for that vehicle.

The service costs approximately $400, plus a $500 refundable deposit on the equipment upon return. This includes all available enclosure types suitable for the application. For more information and final pricing, visit the Elite Box Design website.
