Metra Electronics to show new dash new radio status control interface at SEMA 2025

Press Release: Holly Hill, FL – Axxess by Metra Electronics will introduce at the SEMA Show a new radio status control interface with improved “auto detect” technology to work with a broader assortment of aftermarket radios.

The AXRSC Radio Status Control interface can be paired with vehicle-specific and radio-specific accessory harnesses (sold separately) for a full plug-n-play installation.

The AXRSC works with both a wide range of cars and radios, so it can be used with radios purchased from online retailers. It preserves vehicle information and factory settings that are typically lost when replacing the original head unit, allowing them to be retained, displayed, and controlled directly on the aftermarket radio screen.

It retains safety chimes through an included off-board speaker, steering wheel audio controls, and Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.). It also provides 12-volt, 10-amp accessory power and NAV outputs for parking brake, reverse, and speed sense connections.

To complete a plug and play install, the AXRSC works with harnesses for a variety of vehicles and radios:
