Garmin announced a new line of JL Audio marine speakers and subwoofers on September 1. The M200 series includes speakers in 6.5 inch and 7.7 inch sizes plus a 10 inch subwoofer, built for boats and other harsh marine settings.
The speakers use a 1 inch silk dome tweeter and handle up to 60 watts RMS. The subwoofer uses a polypropylene cone and rubber surround and handles up to 250 watts RMS. Both use a standard mounting size so installers can swap them into existing cutouts.
The M200 series comes with RGB lighting that boat owners can adjust to match their boat’s look. Pairing the system with a Garmin Spectra or Lumishore light controller lets owners run the lighting from a compatible chartplotter or the ActiveCaptain app. The speakers and subwoofers also come with white or gray grille options.
