Press Release (UNEDITED): Lincoln City, OR – The 2026 Surf City Soundoff wrapped up
this weekend at Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City, bringing two days of high-
level car audio competition, incredible vehicles and enthusiastic spectators to the
Oregon Coast.
Hosted by IASCA Worldwide in partnership with Chinook Winds Casino Resort, Surf
City once again demonstrated why it has become one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier
car audio events. The 2026 edition featured an IASCA 3X World Record Event, giving
competitors the opportunity to earn championship points while battling for top honors in
Sound Quality, SPL and other competition formats.
Saturday’s competition focused on Sound Quality, Installation Quality and
demonstrations, while Sunday shifted the attention to SPL competition, with competitors
pushing their vehicles and audio systems to extraordinary levels. The weekend also
featured NiteGlow, demonstrations, vendors, raffles and opportunities for spectators to
experience some of the most impressive mobile audio systems in the region.
“This year’s Surf City Soundoff was everything we hoped it would be and more,” said
Travis Chin, President of IASCA Worldwide. “The competitors brought an incredible
level of preparation and passion, and the spectators really embraced the event. Surf
City has developed into something much bigger than a competition. It’s a gathering of
people who love cars, music, technology and the car audio community.”
The 3X World Record designation made the weekend particularly significant for IASCA
competitors, attracting participants from throughout the region and beyond. The event
provided a rare opportunity for competitors in multiple disciplines to compete on the
same weekend at one of the most distinctive venues on the IASCA calendar.
More Than a Soundoff
The Soundoff was once again complemented by Surf City Classics, which filled the
Chinook Winds Casino Resort grounds Saturday with classic cars, muscle cars, trucks,
rat rods, 4x4s, motorcycles and other custom vehicles.
The combination created a true automotive weekend in Lincoln City, bringing together
traditional car enthusiasts and the next generation of automotive customization
represented by today’s competitive car audio vehicles.
While the classic car show provided plenty of chrome, horsepower and automotive
history, the Surf City Soundoff showcased what is possible when modern technology,
engineering and creativity are taken to the extreme.
The two events together helped turn the Chinook Winds Casino Resort property into a
destination for automotive enthusiasts throughout the weekend.
Giving Back to the Community
Community involvement remains an important part of Surf City’s identity. The event
continued its support of Angels Anonymous, a Lincoln County nonprofit that provides
assistance to local individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
Organizers will announce the final 2026 fundraising results once all event proceeds and
donations have been finalized.
