JVCKenwood, in partnership with iDatalink Maestro, has launched a long-awaited update to its Direct Replacement system, aimed squarely at the performance car market. The update adds support for launch control, shift lights, and performance driving pages within the aftermarket head unit interface.
JVCKenwood debuted the new beta version of iDatalink Maestro’s Drive Mode integration using the Kenwood eXcelon DAX-1050XR, a 10.2-inch HD floating digital multimedia receiver paired with the iDatalink RR2 module at the CMA show in Toronto, Canada.
As an example, for Chrysler vehicles equipped with the performance driving package, commonly known as the “SRT package,” replacing the factory Uconnect radio previously meant losing access to most of the performance features. Those features were accessible via the vehicle’s “SRT” button, which when pressed, launched the Performance Pages app on the Uconnect’s 8.4-inch display. Uconnect accessibility applied to SRT equipped models from 2015 through 2023.
SRT Performance Pages serve as the main performance hub for these vehicles, offering several high-detail control tabs:
- Transmission: Shift timing can be set to “Track” mode, which executes shifts in 160ms, while the suspension remains in “Street” mode for improved weight transfer during drag launches.
- Traction Control: Three settings are available: Street, Sport, and Track, with the Track setting allowing significant wheel slip.
- Horsepower Settings: On Hellcat models, users can toggle between the 500 HP Black Key and full-power Red Key configurations.
With this Maestro update, those features are now restored directly within the aftermarket head unit display.

This update reflects the growing importance of deeper OEM integration in today’s used car market. Owners of high-performance vehicles tend to have the disposable income to invest in premium upgrades, making them the kind of customers retailers want through the door.
