Kicker has launched 5 new amplifiers under the VXA Series, a line developed specifically for international markets outside the United States. According to Aziz Masri, Kicker’s International Sales Manager, the VXA Series will be warehoused in Asia, a strategy designed to minimize the impact of current U.S. tariffs on pricing and availability for international customers.
Mazri, speaking at the CMA (Canadian Mobile Association) show in Toronto, said the amplifiers will be featured on Kicker.com, a deliberate move to reinforce product legitimacy. “We wanted buyers to see these are proper Kicker amplifiers, not a Temu-style product,” he said. “We want our international customers to be assured these are genuine Kicker products, which is why we have them listed on Kicker.com.”

Scenarios like this are becoming increasingly common across the car audio and 12V industry, in a heavily price-driven market. When tariffs must be absorbed into the final price, when imported from the USA, they can quickly become cost prohibitive for consumers in markets other than the US. This applies to exports from the US also, due to reciprocal tariffs in other countries.
Manufacturers are being forced to find ways to stay competitive under these economic pressures. Some are already taking more drastic steps, relocating production to new markets to secure more favorable tariffs.
All five of these models offer a feature called “Class SB-Compatible” for OEM integration. SB-compatible means an amplifier can properly accept and process the signal from a factory Class SB (Single-Ended Bridged) output without distortion. It ensures clean integration with modern OEM audio systems that use these non-standard signal outputs.
Some real-world examples (where SB-type outputs are commonly used)
- Ford Motor Company factory radios (non-premium systems)
- General Motors base radios (Chevy, GMC, etc.)
- Stellantis (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep) base systems
- Toyota / Lexus non-JBL systems
- Volkswagen Group (VW, Audi base systems)
- Mercedes-Benz standard Audio 20 systems
- BMW base (non-Harman/Kardon) audio
Models in the VXA line include:
VXA-Series Mono Amplifiers with Remote Bass Knob, Start/Stop vehicle Technology, and KickEQ Bass Boost

VXA-Series 4-Channel/Multi-Channel Amplifiers include Remote Bass Knob, Start/Stop vehicle Technology, KickEQ Bass Boost and Class-D Design

The VXA amplifiers will carry an MSRP of $199–$449 CAD in the Canadian market.
