The team at Wāvtech introduced new Thin 12/10 subwoofers as well as a new amplifier offering industry-first technology.
The Wāvtech link 1400.8plus offers the industry’s first assignable analog bass channel, that utilizes their proprietary bassFREQ technology. This is accomplished via simple dip-switch design, not by using digital software or a PC.
To break this down, the bassFREQ is a processor that includes a low-pass crossover, subsonic filter, and parametric equalization. Traditionally, bass equalization is applied to an amplifier’s subwoofer channel. Wāvtech’s design enables the installer to apply the bassFREQ to channels 5/6 for door speakers or an OEM factory front subwoofer, for example. Wāvtech has taken this one step further by making the bassFREQ assignable to channels 5/6, 7/8 and the line driver pre-out for better OEM integration and system expansion.
