Continuing a sweeping update of its amplifiers, MTX, recently unveiled new RTX amplifiers designed to match pro audio speakers and a new powersports amplifier line, the PS Series.
This follows MTX’s launch of new Thunder car and marine amplifiers last year and new Terminator amplifiers in 2024.
The RTX (Road Thunder Extreme) amplifiers are especially suited to working with MTX’s pro audio RTX speakers. They emphasize high-wattage capability and low-distortion performance, with power output up to 3,000 watts (see specs below). The line is due to ship around early January 2026.
RTX Series Specifications
Two Class D amplifiers with the following standard features:
- Variable low-pass and high-pass crossovers
- Adjustable bass boost (0-12dB at 45Hz)
- Wired remote level control included
- Nickel-plated 1/0 AWG power input 4 AWG speaker outputs
- Thermal, overload, and short-circuit protection
- Built-in cooling fan and over-sized heatsink
4-Channel Amplifier RTX1600.4 Specs:
- 4Ω RMS Power Output: 250W x 4-channel
