Soundstream Reserve, an Epsilon brand is offering two new Harley-Davidson motorcycle replacement radios, including the industry’s first radio for older Street Glides with iDataLink Maestro capability, it said.
The new SG-V2 radio can display gauge information on Street Glides, model years 2009-2013. To date this gauge info has only been offered for newer Harley bike models, said Soundstream.
Users can also remap the thumb controls on the motorcycle for custom settings. Overall, the SG-V2 is a plug and play head unit that can work in 1998-2013 Harley Street Glides. It has an 8.2-inch high definition widescreen LCD with bright 1000NIT backlighting. It adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, iGo navigation, wireless headset audio and Rally Mode for sharing music with other riders.
It is joined by the WHD.RG, a basic radio for 1998-2013 Road Glides that offers wireless CarPlay and Android Auto with voice control to make calls, control music, etc.
Due to ship this month, the WHD-RG has a 7-inch QLCD screen. It is SiriusXM ready and it swaps with the factory radio without the need for extra adapters and wiring.
It uses the OE radio antenna cable and factory hardware from the original Harley Davidson head unit, and it comes with a 21-inch long add-on USB cable for installation on either side of the fairing. It also works with existing handlebar controls.
The WHD.RG is rated at IPx5 water resistance and uses an optically bonded screen to remove air gaps and allow for improved viewing with polarized glasses. MAP price is $899.
Separately, Soundstream is also shipping a new 7-inch radio for the Polaris Slingshot, model years 2108-2024. The SS.1824 has wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. The unit offers plug and play installation at $999 MAP. See more features below.
