Press Release: Following up on yesterday’s news from Escort, an update on the Redline Ci 360c, firmware v1.5 is now live and delivers faster response times across all bands, stronger POP detection, and smoother arrow transitions.
Backed by both lab and field testing, this update refreshes your Redline with performance improvements that translate into the real-world usability and accuracy that you depend on.
CAUTION: This is a very large update. If using Wi-Fi, it may take around 20 to 30 minutes to install the update. Alternatively, you may check with your installer to see if they can perform the update using the USB connection in your vehicle. To prevent unnecessary battery drain, simply leave your vehicle running until the update has been finalized.
NOTE: When updating via Wi-Fi, it is recommended to disable Auto Power for the duration of the update to prevent interruptions.
Enhancements for North America units include:
• Improved response time for all bands (X, K, and Ka), Ka response times were developed around Ka Wide
• POP detection improvements for defense against POP-enabled radar
• Improved arrow transition times (front to rear)
• Reduction of Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) and Collision Avoidance System (CAS) false alerts and overall filtering improvements
• Additional K Notch filter (K Notch 2) specifically addressing false alerts encountered with RAM TRX Collision Avoidance Systems
• OnStar mobile fix enables better connection to OnStar-equipped vehicle hotspots
• NEW: A new option called K Filter has been added that enables toggling the K Filter on and off , allowing drivers to enjoy faster response times (K Filter OFF) or fewer K Band false alerts (K Filter ON). With a default setting of K Filter ON, you can access the toggle within Radar Options, which is located after Band Enables in the menu. Other options (such as K Notch) are now located in this menu and can also be accessed within Drive Smarter (iOS 4.6.1 and Android 4.5.1.0) at the bottom of the menu.
PLEASE NOTE: the K filter option only affects the response time for K band. Ka band will not be affected by this setting.
How to Get the Update
NOTE: When updating via Wi-Fi, it is recommended to disable Auto Power for the duration of the update to prevent interruptions.
