Maybe this New Zealand retailer, now sadly closing, will inspire a new sign for your shop.
John Wood of Custom Auto is retiring and has sold his business to a repair shop after 40 years, according to The Post. We point out the story because of the shop’s remarkable sign—a true to life replica of an Alpine radio that was erected in 1998.
The 13-foot sign became a landmark in the town of New Plymouth, with its built-to-scale buttons and working speakers. A local radio station asked that it be tuned to the station’s frequency in exchange for discounted radio advertising.
