Press Release (EDITED): Oklahoma City, OK – DD AUDIO introduced the new SS6000 and SS9000 Full Range Monoblock Amplifiers, rated for 6000 watts and 9000 watts continuous at 1 Ohm respectively.
Just as the previously released SS3000, these new models combine full-bridge architecture and high current devices typically reserved for half bridge amps. This hybrid approach provides full range performance and speed with big, clean power output, all packed into a highly efficient, compact chassis. Pro audio systems, like stunt walls loaded with mid-woofers and high-frequency drivers, will benefit greatly from the low noise floor.
The SS amplifiers have earned a reputation as high speed, high current, class D designs offering big power and superior sound quality in compact footprints. As with all DD amps, every major component is name-brand. The SS6000 comes with QUAD toroidal transformers while the SS9000 is loaded with SIX-PACK and they both use higher current mosfets and oversized power capacitors, all on a thermally robust PCB. The housing includes multiple discrete vents and DD AUDIO’s classic heat sink which includes 50% more side wall thickness than industry norms and extra long fins to increase surface area for maximum cooling.
